April 6, 2014 - Zetro Souza and Armageddon Interviews

Present were James, Rick from The Metallic Onslaught, and, Dave from the band Spater. Dave is the founder of the annual Finger Lakes Metal Fest, a free event where Spater and nineteen other bands would be performing. The Metallic Onslaught hosts this event, which was fast approaching. Dave talked about, and promoted it. Two of the members, the vocalist/guitarist, and the drummer, of the band Armageddon, who would also be performing at The Finger Lakes Metal Fest, phoned in for an interview, bracketed by their songs. They rock. At 2:00, Steve AKA Zetro Suaza, from many bands, including Exodus phoned in for a half hour interview, a very good one, hearing him talk about his thirty years in the metal scene. His new project is the band Hatriot, which also features his two sons. Music from all the bands he has been in was played. There were segments of Movie Time. The last hour was The Old School Hour...

Interview with Steve 'Zetro' Souza of Hatriot - April 6, 2014

zetroWe spent about 30 minutes talking with Zetro about his career in music, bands, experiences, what happened to Exodus, his new band Hatriot, and a lot more.

Zetro is best known for his time in Exodus, for whom he sang between 1986 and 1993 after being brought in to replace Paul Baloff. Before singing for Exodus, he was the lead singer for the band Legacy (which became Testament after his departure), recording one demo. At the time of his departure of Legacy, he introduced Chuck Billy to Legacy members and joined Exodus. Exodus was disbanded shortly after the release of Force of Habit. He later rejoined the reformed Exodus from 2002 to 2004. He again parted ways with the band during their South American tour later in 2004. He recently hosted the Thrash Against Cancer benefit in 2005 at The Pound in San Francisco, and appears onstage with Testament every time they play the Bay Area. He recently did vocals for Tenet, and currently is one of the two singers, with Chuck Billy, for the band Dublin Death Patrol. Zetro is currently in Hatriot with his two sons, and has just released their second album.
