November 23, 2014 - The Return of the Almighty Monkey and Just Joe's 11th Anniversary

MonkeyThe very day of this LE, Sunday, the 23rd of November, was Just Joe's eleventh Anniversary here. Happy Anniversary, Just Joe. Present for it were, Just Joe, which was fortunate, it would have been a shame if he hadn't been there when his Anniversary was the exact day of LE, which can only happen about every six years, EVD, Rick and Randy from "The Metallic Onslaught", Eric, Rob and R.J. from the band Thirteen South, and, someone who hasn't been here in about fifteen years, but who was there from the very beginning of LE, and was a regular co-host for a long time, The Almighty Monkey! He was going to be here earlier in the year, for our twentieth Anniversary Shows, but we learned tonight that he had fallen thirty feet out of a tree, and broken his back. Funny, you would think that monkeys should be really good at climbing trees, I mean, isn't that what they are supposed to do? There was a lot of reminiscing about his time on LE. EVD duct taped The Monkey, Randy, and Eric together, and then Azkath and Just Joe beat on them with a big metal blade, a cookie sheet, a guitar. Randy got a balloon shoved in his mouth, which he bit and popped, and Randy got a lot of disturbing, disgusting man love from Eric and The Monkey while they were all stuck together. And Azkath also put Crappy The Clown's underwear on Randy, I mean, he wasn't wearing it, but had it put on him, rubbed in his face. Randy also had to wear Dave's gross, smelly beard, which EVD had ripped off of Dave with duct tape the week before, Just Joe got to put it on him, he was given that pleasure because it was his Anniversary, after all. Randy was quite traumatized by all that happened to him this night, but he did get to break a record over The Monkey's head, which made him happy. He had to wear the beard because Russian Roulette was played, where either he or Just Joe would have to wear it, and it turned out to be Randy. But apparently, if you are in the band Thirteen South, you like wearing Dave's beard, because last week Rob had worn it on various parts of his anatomy, he did all of it himself, and now R.J. willingly put it on himself. Music was played for The Monkey, bands he likes, or that Azkath thought he would like, although I must say, I'm extremely disappointed that his theme music, the theme to the old cartoon show "The Banana Splits" as done by some nineties alternative rock people was not played, I love that song, and that was one of my favorite shows when I was little, like about ten thousand years ago. A set of songs that used to be staples on the old radio program, "The Rock Shop", was also played, also for The Monkey, as he liked that. There was a lot of reminiscing about the past eleven years that Just Joe has been with us, there has been SO MUCH that he has done, and had done to him, in that time. I made him fall off the roof once, I was actually trying to help him, trying to talk him into coming down, but instead I made him fall off of it, which got him down, just not the way I meant to. Oh well, I guess I suck at therapy. Just Joe got to pick a set of music. There were segments of Movie Time, and Just Joe discussed a web series as well. The last hour was The Old School Hour... And, once again, A VERY HAPPY ELEVENTH ANNIVERSARY TO JUST JOE!!!!!

December 7, 2014 - EVD's Birthday and Dimebag Darrell Tribute

Present were EVD, and Rob from the band Thirteen South, for a couple of talk breaks. The Thursday before this LE, December 4th, at 4:16 P.M., to be exact, and his is the most precise I can be with anybody's except for my own, was EVD's Birthday, Happy Birthday, EVD! Rob gave him Birthday spankings. It was disturbing, EVD enjoyed it waaay too much, EVD, you weirdo! Well, like we all didn't know that! There was a set of music by the band Pantera, in tribute to Dimebag Darrell, it was the anniversary of his death, when a deranged person murdered him. Topics were discussed, like the growing proliferation of the killing of black men by white cops, and then nothing happening to the cops, separation of church and state issues, conspiracy theories. There was a segment of Movie Time, and Azkath talked about two TV programs, and talked some more about that new Lucha Libre wrestling program he mentioned last week, recommending it. The final hour was The Old School Hour... And, once again, A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TO EVD!!!!!

January 3, 2010 - Dealers Choice Show

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; This program was 2 days after New Year's Day, and so was the 1st LE of the new year, and the new decade. Well, actually the new decade doesn't begin until 2011, not 2010, but almost nobody thinks of it that way, certainly the world calls it the new decade. This LE was a Dealer's Choice, which meant that everyone there would get to play sets of their favorite music all night, which they did, and listener's requests would be taken as well, as always, of course, LE always honors it's listener's requests. Dave was back, so somehow he survived being eaten by Randy, the tentacled slimy monster, the week before. Dave had no memory of that, and so did not know why they were surprised to see him, or how he was alive. They decided that Randy probably either vomited him up, or pooped him out. Tim, from Century Media Records, was there, and was in the brand new, totally revamped, Just Joe's Corner. Tim had one question for Just Joe... What had happened to the urinal there, did he do it, and, could he fix it? Well, I guess you could say that was one question, in three parts. Just Joe was stumped by that question, his answer, to all three parts, was no, which they told him meant he had failed. So, as his punishment, he had to wear The Shirt Of Shame. And, remember, Tim has a podcast, which you can listen to at: www.centurymediapodcast.com And thus went the 1st LE of the new year...

January 10, 2010 - Black Friday and Sorrow of Batavia

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; Two bands stopped by, Black Friday (well, three fourths of Black Friday, their drummer was absent), and Sorrow Of Batavia. They were interviewed, and their music was played. They both rock. Black Friday was in Just Joe's Corner. Just Joe answered their question, in a very long, roundabout way, but he eventually did, which meant he won, so he got to hug Black Friday. After Sorrow Of Batavia showed up, records were broken on them, some by Just Joe, and some by some band members on other band members. www.myspace.com/blackfriday607 is Black Friday's website, which I'm sure you could figure out, and, www.myspace.com/sorrowofbatavia is Sorrow Of Batavia's website, which I'm sure you can also figure out. EVD put tape on Just Joe and Dave...

January 17, 2010 - Ian of A'Rebours

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; Ian, from the band A'Rebours, stopped by. They are awesome! Ian was interviewed, and lots of his band's songs were played. When asked if he could pick any song from like 20 years ago, he picked Motley Crue's "Girls Girls Girls"! Yes, he actually picked that(!), and it was played, but then he redeemed himself somewhat when given a second chance by picking Savatage's "Edge Of Thorns". Although, I love Savatage, I also love cheesy 80's stuff, so I really enjoyed both of his picks, unapologetically enjoyed both. I'm not proud, after all, so I readily admit to loving the kinds of songs that are the bullets in Russian Roulette Sets...

January 24, 2010 - Psyche Chimère of Psyche Corp and Ian of A'Rebours

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard;Psyche Chimère, of her band Psyche Corporation, and Ian, of the band A'Rebours were there. They would both be performing at the next The Last Exit For The Lost Presents Show later that Sunday. Lots of both their bands's music was played. They rock. People there were given challenges to complete. Psyche Chimère made up a story about James, about how he was a bear human, a long story. Ian was told to come up with a new religion, and he had to recruit James to it. Anyone else he could convert would be bonus, but the key thing was to recruit James. He invented a religion called the Ambiguoust, it was all very ambiguous. But he did recruit James, so he got to pick a victim for his religion. He picked Foul Mouth Girl, which meant that he got to play balloon golf on her. Azkath told Ian he was going to cause him to lose his new cult. He lured James away from it, and so disbanded it. Just Joe got naked and hugged. Ian got to pick a song from 20 years ago again. Last week he picked Motley Crue's "Girls Girls Girls". He was told not to do that again. He picked Ratt's "Round And Round". Earlier in the night Psyche Chimère read a long poem by the winner of a bad poetry contest. Gorgar was there after many weeks absence, so there was a Gorgar's Glamorama. His pick was new Winger, "Stone Cold Killer", which does not sound like old Winger, in other words, not like a bullet for Russian Roulette, I like it. Of course, I like old Winger, too.

January 31 - Ask Just Joe...

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; The Enforcer, who hadn't been there for a while, was there for one talk break in the first hour. Lots of brand new music was played. For Just Joe's Corner, Just Joe answered questions from two listeners. He got a thumbs up for the first one, and a thumbs down on the second one. However, he was given a second chance to try again on that one. And got a thumbs down, but then he launched into a nonsequiter, and I guess the third time really is the charm, because he finally got a thumbs up... Actually, there was a question from a third listener, but Just Joe couldn't remember what the question had been. He tried to answer it anyways, and, once again, got two thumbs downs, then on the third try, got a thumbs up. And we learned that Just Joe really likes soup... And the word chunky...

February 7 - A Shoggoth for Kal

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; Continuing on with something that had started last week, all throughout the night, Just Joe would answer listener submitted questions of all types, on anything and everything. Azkath had also summoned a Shoggoth and taught it to say "Hi Kal". It was in the basement, and was so big it took up the entire basement. There was a microphone down there, so it could be coaxed to say Hi Kal. It did, and every time it did, Just Joe shrieked in terror. It kept saying Hi Kal, making the floor vibrate every time it spoke, and Just Joe kept screaming. Azkath told Just Joe that the only way to make the sound go away was to go down there and get the mic, which was a lie, as Azkath could have simply turned the mic off from upstairs. Just Joe however didn't know that of course. He didn't want to go near the Shoggoth, but he didn't want to keep hearing it talk either. And though I, and I think most people, would rather hear something horrible for a few hours and then you could just go home, than actually have to go confront it, where you'll still hear it but now also see, feel, smell, and likely taste it as well, well, let's just say that Just Joe is not most people, so he opted to go down there and try and retrieve the mic... There could be heard a lot of screaming from Just Joe, as well as the Shoggoth still saying Hi Kal. Finally Just Joe came back with the mic, he was covered in Shoggoth goo, and he was not at all happy. Later, Just Joe called in. He was outside, and he said the Shoggoth was breaking out of the basement, that their were tentacles coming out of the windows. Azkath told him to push them back in. Just Joe didn't want to do that, but suggested kicking it. Azkath encouraged him to try that, so Just Joe did, several times, and concluded that he definitely didn't think the Shoggoth liked that, it was clawing at him. Later, Just Joe asked Azkath why he had Shoggoth goo on him. Azkath said that he had gotten rid of the Shoggoth, which would be the start of a cool new game he had just invented, Hide the Shoggoth. He told Just Joe to guess where he had hidden the Shoggoth, then apologized, not very sincerely, for ruining his car. He told Just Joe next time it would be his turn to hide the Shoggoth. Just Joe didn't want to play Hide the Shoggoth. He was even less happy when he got a look at his car, it was completely enveloped in Shoggoth, there was not much car left. Gorgar arrived and Gorgar's Glam-o-rama occurred. His song this time was Lillian Axe's "Ghost Of Winter". Just Joe answered listener submitted questions all night long on stuff like aliens, zombies, robot slugs, flowers, and, well like I said at the beginning, anything and everything...

February 14 - Dave's Birthday

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; It was Dave's birthday. There was cake there for Dave's birthday. For his birthday present, Russian Roulette was played, and it involved balloon golf, but special balloon golf, just for Dave... The balloons were filled with candy... If a bullet played, Dave would have the balloon golf played on him, and would try and catch the candy in his mouth when the balloon broke. If no bullet, Just Joe, James, and T.J. would have the balloon golf played on them by Dave, and risk life limb and being eaten by Dave as he went after the candy that would be released all over them when the balloons broke... No bullet... So first T.J., then Just Joe, and, last, James, got to experience Dave playing balloon golf on them, and then trampling all over them to devour the candy when the balloons popped. Miraculously, somehow, they all managed to survive that uneaten. Since Dave has now had UFC training, it was decided he should demonstrate his new skills. He and Just Joe would have a UFC style match, with no rules, and it would be to a knockout, with James as referee. So the fight began... There was a whole lot of slappin' goin' on, then Just Joe got Dave in a choke hold and was choking him out. It appeared that Just Joe would have won the match, despite being much smaller than Dave, and despite Dave's being a trained UFC fighter now, but then the referee, James, knocked Just Joe completely out with a vicious shot to the head with a dust thing. That was the commentator, Azkath's, description of it, and those were his words, "A Dust Thing", so, if you don't understand, blame Azkath, all I can say is, whatever a dust thing was, it sure made a sound when it connected with Just Joe's head that sounded like it delivered a wicked blow, and, it did, as, as I said, Just Joe was rendered unconscious, and stayed that way for a while. Since it had been said that there would be no rules, it was decided that Dave would have to be given the win, even though he would have lost if it hadn't been for the referee's blatant interference, so I guess it was actually more WWE than UFC. James said he figured that, since it was Dave's birthday, he just thought that Dave should get the knockout, so, he got it for him. James gave Dave his birthday spankings, with James's studded belt. James gave Dave several spanks with the belt, then started choking him out with it. James and T.J. started choking Dave out with the belt, and then Azkath finished the job, as they were doing badly at it. Then they picked him up, it takes more than one person to move Dave, and T.J. and James through his unconscious body in the snow, however, not only did Dave go into the snow, but T.J. and James did as well, and, since James was not wearing his belt, as he had removed it to spank and choke Dave with it, James's pants fell down, so he was in the snow with his pants down. Just Joe became distraught. He said he remembered the future from the past, or the past from the future, with all the shoggoths, and they were all saying "hi Kal", just like the one Azkath had summoned last week, and, what he had thought were a lot of bunnies, well, they weren't bunnies after all, they were the eyes of all those shoggoths. Just Joe was quite traumatized by the memory. And he said the shoggoth from last week was on the roof now, holding itself up there with, why with it's tentacles, of course! What else?! So now Just Joe was afraid to go outside, but he did have some more news. His car had been destroyed last week when Azkath hid the shoggoth in it, and the car was consumed by the shoggoth. However, who new that car insurance companies have policies that cover your car being enveloped and, hence, ruined, by a shoggoth. So they paid for a brand new car for him, and doubled his rates. So now you know, if it ever happens to you that you lose your car to a shoggoth, your insurance will cover it, isn't that nice to know! Azkath told Just Joe that Gorgar was in trouble dealing with the shoggoth, and that Just Joe should go help him. Just Joe didn't want to go help Gorgar, he refused several times, but finally, after being asked again, he said he would go help Gorgar, he wasn't at all happy about it, but he would go. He went. I'm sure that turned out just fine for both Just Joe and Gorgar.
